Moores Park is located  in Lansing east of S Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and south of the river.   Take Moores River Drive east from MLK to the park.  If southbound on MLK, you will need go past Moores River Drive and make a U-turn.

Moores Dam is a mandatory portage on river right.  Do not cross the buoys: the dam is very dangerous.  The Lansing Board of Water and Light Eckert Power Station is seen in the background.  The stacks are locally known as Wynken, Blynken, and Nod.
